KOORINGAL

Contemporary pavilion style residence set into native bushland. Each pavilion corresponds to a zone within the home, with the living area being a large glass box connecting onto the pool deck. The series of skillion roof forms give the impression of a large butterfly settled into the bush.

This home was featured in the Queensland Homes Autumn 2005 magazine, and later became a Boystown Prize Home. It also won Regional and State Building Design Awards in the Environmentally Sustainable and Energy Efficient Buildings category, and received a Commendation in the 2006 National Design Awards.
